This year’s Japanese Phallic Festival (yes, yes, you read it correctly
) took place in Kawasaki, south of Tokyo and it gathered more than 30,000 worshipers who praised the sexuality gods and asked for protection from sexually transmitted diseases. Hmm…what a weird festival, isn’t it?

Here are some very beautiful shots of Tokyo at twilight as seen by a famous Japanese photographer Sato Shintaro. That’s what Mr. Shintaro writes on his page about these photos: “I take photographs of Tokyo townscape from emergency staircase of multi-tenant buildings and of apartment houses. Most of staircases are facing back streets, and it is interesting that the other side of Tokyo appears there. Townscape in the twilight looked from staircases, to which no one reaches as if it has slipped from everyday life, has so erotic appeal that I am fascinated by townscapes every time when I take photographs. I become aware that I do not know anything about the town in fact, although I always look at Tokyo townscape.” (Source)

40,000 bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau arrived in Japan on the 9th of November from Paris for the wine-lovers to gather in bars and restaurants and enjoy the fresh race of fruity wine at its annual international event: Beaujolais Nouveau Day. The French Law allows this wine to be purchased only after the 3rd Thursday of November that was yesterday. Beaujolais Festival was held in Japan to celebrate this day with the swimming pools, fuelled with wine! Here are some photos from the event!
