Despite the spectacular progress of the China auto industry in recent years and the presence of almost every major global automaker, on the Beijing Motor Show 2008 infamous Chinese knockoffs were evident: copies of the Toyota Corolla, small SUVs made by Hyundai, Kia, Honda and BMW, as well as Mercedes-style convertibles. The smart forFour knockoff that created a ruckus at last fall’s Frankfurt motor show – developer Mercedes-Benz protested its presence – also was unabashedly on display here.

The International Geneva Motor Show is an annual auto show held in March in the Swiss city of Geneva. The show started in 1905 and is held at Palexpo, a giant convention center located next to the International Airport.
Almost all motor combustion models have been featured in the show - ranging from benzene to steam, with many exotic and supercars stealing the spotlights throughout the 20th century. Prototypes, new equipment, technical breakthroughs, and international partnerships as well as political and social debates are all landmarks of this international exhibition. (Wiki)

A few days ago Italy arrested the gang that helped their customers to realise their dream for $30,000, only a fraction of the price of a real thing.
