Ok, here you are for those who requested. Great pics and will sure provide some light-hearted memories of this 2008 Olympics. Till the next Olympics!
I know it’s over, but here are more interesting and funny snapshots from the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Some are really well taken and at the perfect moment. There’s actually more but not sure if you guys are interested?
Ok, so this is not the same as real sexy chicks, but I thought that this is interesting for a change. Some nice well-crafted sexy figurines perhaps? Interestingly, most of them are Anime or Asian related. Is this only an Asian thing?
Hans van Bentem can turn Bavarian Crystal and brass into works of luminescent art.
Now, this is what I call going out with a BIG BANG. The scene was indeed quite awesome.
Very nice pictures of hot sporty chicks in one of our favorite sports - Beach Volleyball. What’s not to like about this sport?
Is it me or is playing in the mud the new in-thing these days? Here are fun pics of another mud festival, this time held in South Korea. Anyone participated in mud festivals around the world?
Some of these are just excellent in the play of words but others are just… unfortunate.
Perhaps I exaggerate, but some of these are really pretty darn funny. Anyone care for some bargain priced Adddis or a Nokla perhaps?
Heard of Stonehenge? What about Carhenge?? Check out the ‘replica’ of the Stonehenge found in Nebraska (USA) but with cars! Pretty humorous I must say, now you may not need to travel so far to see this famous monument, if you live in the US, that is. Just in case you didn’t know, the real Stonehenge is located in the English county of Wiltshire.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the narrowest street in the world is located in Reutlingen, Germany. In reality, it’s just a passageway, an exit from a rear courtyard. In the eighteenth century, this district was completely destroyed in a huge fire. To ensure that, in future, fires couldn’t spread so easily from house to house, a narrow space was left between them. Measuring just 31cm in width, it quickly went into the record books as the narrowest street in the world, even though it isn’t much of a street.
Previously, this record was held by the Parliament Street of Exeter, England, which in my opinion fitted better to the definition of a “street”. This 50m long street which links the High Street to Waterbeer Lane and dates back to the 14th century is approximately 1.2m (45 inches) at its widest and less than 0.64m (25 inches) at its narrowest. Formerly it was called the Small Lane before being renamed in 1832.
Thought that since so much attention is on the Olympics in Beijing right now, it would be interesting to see how Beijing looks at night. Here is a nice compilation of the different perspectives of Beijing at night.
Photos taken from the celebration of the Chinese Lantern Festival although we are not sure where this took place. Pretty cool massive lanterns. Anyone knows where this was held?
Keeping to the spirit of the Beijing Olympics, here are some great clean nice chicks involved in the Olympics in one of way or another. Another very good reason to watch the Olympics. Very nice indeed.
