   That Buddha statue shouldn’t be on this list…The Swastika was originally a Chinese symbol. The Swastika has been around for over 3,000 years, far before Hitler adapted it and made it a symbol of hate.

   I used to know a Hindu man who was covered head to toe with Swastikas. He was the kindest, most down to Earth person I have ever met.

   Nathan it isnt the swastika on the chest its the boobs in the back ground. besides nazis tilted it a few degrees.

   The swastika can face either clockwise or counterclockwise; the Nazis used the one facing clockwise, and the Buddhist/Hindu/Chinese etc used the other one. Or perhaps I have that backward, but the distinction remains.

   Well, thank you avitas-c and Jim. I was unaware of the slight tilting, which is ridiculous. It’s far more ridiculous that that photo is on here because there’s a nude statue behind it…GROW UP people.

    Nathan, I think you need to grow up. I don’t mean to sound rude, but you’re attacking people you’ve never met. You are entitled to your opinion but you can’t force it upon others, because that would make YOU Hitler.

    viciously- I think you need to re-evaluate your life, because I was NOT attacking ANYONE. I just found it silly that people get all giggly about a statue with tits. You seriously need to take a step back and think about what you said to me. I only stated my OPINION, which was not aimed towards ANYONE. So, before you go telling ME that I was immature, realize that I was not FORCING my opinion on anyone. Read my comment or don’t, it’s not that big of a fucking deal, guy. And comparing me to Hitler is like comparing apples to shoes…it makes NO sense.

    If you cannot see beyond your own egotistical view, you sir or maam could use a reality-check. It was quite hypocritical of you to say that I’m entitled to my own opinion but shun me for it. Think before you type, please.

    Not everything on the daily selection seems to be for giggles or turn-on value. They’re a bunch of images worth considering for any number of reasons. An icon of the Buddha, teacher of enlightenment and detachment in the foreground, backed by images and reflections of the erotic and 20th century materialism… It’s a beautiful irony and a neat picture.

    Green- Thank you for having a mature perspective on this. I had stumbleupon’d this site, so I was not aware as to what this site is all about…I just assumed it was all funny pictures. I’m going to be removing my subscription to this thread, so I will not be making any further comments. Cheers.

    phew…

    now about that last picture: it’s intriguing how she keeps looking at you isn’t it? As for the internal conflict: I’m definitely going for turned on.

    But what about picture nr 34 (right before the beer filled gas mask)? I’m struggling with a similar conflict there.. What on earth is she doing? But on the other hand.. think of the possibilities…

    Am I the only one who finds the “two ladies sipping out of a keg with straws” to be a little…er….deceptive? And I’m not talking about the fact that you wouldn’t be drinking out of the keg that way….

    uh, why is there the butta with the Swastika in this group? obviously from the west, as this means good luck in India, it also means “conducive to well-being”. Used way before Hitler even started using it.

    that was really funny, but the thing on the cat that looked like a swastika was actually a manji its a symbol meaning good luck. So be careful on your conclusions.

    The two guys covered in tattoos are being “possessed” Here in Thailand there are quite a few festivals, ceremonies, religious sermons and what not, where people are possessed. Thai culture is deeply animistic and fears and beliefs about ghosts are rampant.
