This advertising campaign has led to flames and debates about taboos in Germany. The campaign shows scenes that can be understood as intercourse between a woman and a German shepherd dog. The campaign, created by the Jung von Matt agency for the lifestyle magazine Deutsch, consists of two pieces of printed graphics that have appeared in targeted audience publications, like Frankfurt, Cicero, Financial Times, Gala and Glamour.
According to the Jung von Matt agency website, the main point of the prints is “to draw attention as much as possible,” . The images seem to be inspired by the photographs of Helmut Newton, taken in 1984. The animal chosen, the German shepherd dog is a symbol of German culture.

Since then the campaign has achieved its goal, although controversy and rejection have had a negative impact in some sectors. While some critics consider the prints immoral and of low quality, others believe them okay, which is nothing more than a translation of a taboo subject and recognition of sexual fantasies of some people.
Fact: the campaign was designed and produced by women.
