Some one emailed this to me…its probably all over the internets…but it is just so funny I had to share.
These men are concreting steel pillars into the ground to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement in front of a sports bar down town.
They are cleaning up at the end of the day.

How long do you think it will take for them to realize where their vehicle is parked?

HaHa
If you measure the van (95 pixels) you’d see that they can just pass through the pillars (99 pixels). Still pretty silly though
There are designs that the base mounts permanently in the ground, then the pole mounts on the base (the ones here are locked by padlocks). This allows discreet removal of the pole so you can drive over the base. I know it is more humorous in assuming they are that dumb… sorry.
Sorry to follow up myself… where is the picture that shows them figuring out what they did? That would have been more funny unless there is more here than the majority realizes. :B
Did you know objects farther away SEEM smaller. But they’re really not. It’s a tricky concept I know. Look at the square grids, the Van is clearly taking up 4 squares and there are only 3 between the posts.
*yawn*
Some people should go out more. Pillars are removable for access by ambulance, fire department.
Messy Jessie should think more before posting images with misleading comments.
Do you work for FOX news or something?
Removable? No, those are cemented in. Why would ambulances and fire trucks need to get in there, the whole area is less than 20 feet wide. They park in the street.
Chocolate Rain Bitches!
I move away from the mic to breathe in
I photoshop *one* picture… sheesh.
Well…. they had to get there in the first place, didn’t they?
Daniel, think before you type. The base is cemented in, the poles attach to the base, therefore they are able to be removed in case the need should arise. If you have never seen this configuration, get off your computer and go out, theres amazing stuff in the world. The least of which is removable poles.
This picture has shown up on the Internet tons of times. It’s already been widely accepted that the poles are probably removable.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but it’s true
If the posts/poles/pillars cannot be moved or negotiated by the van, how did it get in there then?
Besides, they havent laid concrete, worse, they have levelled the slab’s with sharp sand.
When they drive out, they will unsettle moe slab’s. Job creation. Bravo to the modern concept of workmen !!!
i did not undertand what they are doing… maybe i will send my résumé
In soviet russia, the van gets cemented in!
In the united kingdom, there are no vans and there is no cement
I can’t believe I just read all of the above comments without a single one of you realising it’s photoshopped (i know that’s a cliche, but just look). the bottom right pole has been put in digitally, look at the base.
This photo has been altered. Look at the bottom right hand pole, it’s screams photoshop.
Scrolling down the comments I was wondering when I’d get to a “it was a photoshop job” comment…..
Joost… because of the POV its more complicated than that… the pillars are closer to the viewer than the van is… so the van is going to seem smaller than it would if it were at the same distance as the pillars you mesaured.
Wow you guys r brutal….
I just thought it was silly picture
I dont work for Fox News
I dont know if it is shopped…
Just thought it was funny
HA HA

Your all such idiots, this a FLYING VAN. Seriously though who cares?
That is too funny. I wonder how they got the van out.
how sick can u guys be .. cant u just appreciate the humor instead of going into the technicalities of counting the blocks n pixels … good lord .. u guys seriously need a life ..
takin nothin away frm the post .. messie jessie … I really liked it
Because it determines how stupid the construction workers are.
Are the people who keep saying “How did they get the van in?” being serious?
who knew the proper placement of poles around a van was so controversial. I for one am going with the idea that a small team of super strong midgets lift the van up so that it just clears the poles and walk it to the street. Its the funniest mental image i could come up with and it involves midgets
Fuck you all, Simpsons did it.
One word: ahahahahahahahaha.
cool:-)
I thought the pic was funny until I started reading the comments. The comments are
insanely funny, if you like slapstick.
It is in Manchester I think but definitely the UK
You all miss the point… The post immeiately behind the van is a drop pillar, it has a padlock and hinge hidden on the side we can’t see!
They will probably get out the same way they got in….. in between the posts.
Who cares really?
Oh lordy, I wonder about people sometimes….
Richard
If the bottom right bollard is “photo shopped”, there presumably exists a substantial gap.
Wouldn’t this defeat the purpose of the exercise?
I can confirm that this is not a photoshop as I am the bloke in the blue overalls and hi-vis vest. Yes, this is my building contacters business at work and this was not a mistake. This project was NOT about preventing vehicles entering beyond the bollards, it was to prevent vehicles LEAVING the confines of the bollards; that is to prevent our van from being nicked. Seriously, how stupid do you think we are?
you’re all fucking stupid
Looks like a cleaning crew to me; probably scraping gum off the sidewalk. If they’re doing concret work where are the trowels. The one bag behind the van looks like it could be a bag of cement, but the blue bags, including the emptied inside the van look like no bag of concrete I have ever seen.
The shovel on the ground is a roofer’s tear-off shovel.
It looks Photoshopped because it’s a jpg file, so a lot of the details have been smoothed out.
If they are just cementing the bollards in why is the whole area wet. The squares that are presumably fresh look the same as all the squares around them. concrete always looks darker when it is fresh.
The initial story stated :
“These men are concreting steel pillars into the ground to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement in front of a sports bar down town.”
The building looks nothing like any sports bar I have ever seen- where is the entrance- where are the signs?
I totally agree with Jessie. It’s a funny picture…nothing more and nothing less. These clowns that are getting up in arms about removable posts, etc. need to lighten up. Jessie, don’t feel bad because if someone posted a pix of the sky with the comment that it was a nice blue color, those same IDIOTS would start posting that the sky is not really blue because it is the refraction of light waves through…. “blah blah blah”
I, personally, like the picture. I think it’s very funny. It’s pitiful that so many people have to pick everything apart.
Thanks for posting!
Folks…the green area ahead of the van is a sliding door. The
backed in so they would have easy access to the rear doors.
(I don’t believe I actually contributed to this madness).
I havn’t “LoL”‘d this much in months XD…
Where’s the photo taken from- a cherry-picker?
1) Not all poles are removable and to suggest otherwise is idiotic.
2) The perception that the van will fit through the poles is correct.
3) It is amazing people would spend time arguing about such an inconsequential thing.
OK HERES THE REAL REASON BEHIND IT
NO 1 GIVES A FUK REALLY
1) NO1 IN THE REWAL WORLD CARES ABOUT THE PICTURE
2) NO1 IN THE REAL WORLD CARES ABOUT PHOTOSHOP
3) NO1 IN THE REAL WORLD COUL GIVE A FLYING FUK TOWARDS THIS PICTURE IN THE FIRST PLACE
3) U ALL NEED TO GET OFF THAT CHAIR THAT YOU SEEM TO BE FUSED TO AND WALK OUTSIDE I KNOW ITS KIND OF BRIGHT AND SCARY BUT WE ALL NEED TO JUST GO AHVE A LOOK AT OURSELVES WHEN WE ARE TAKING THE CRAP OUT OF A RANDOM PICTURE THAT WOULD BE FUNNY IF U GUYZ DIDNT BITCH ABOUT IT
i think the biggest idiots here are the ones who actually take the time to comment on how big loosers all the others who took the time to comment are!
and the second biggest idiot the one telling people “hellooo! go out more, obviously the pillars are removable” that being true or not, i don’t know what u do when u go out, but i usually don’t go checking if pillars are removable.
winnie eats shit for dinner
hahahahaha
faggit
winnie eats shit for dinner
Second that.
hey winnie (if thats your real name)
wtf kind of name is winnie
shit u a homo or something
go gaybash with your boyfriend
ha ha ha ha ha
im ever so sorry it took too long to reply but i was busy having gay sex with my boyfriend
and yes sometimes i do eat his shit for fun
i looooooove it
do ya’ll have to ruin everything by trying to explain how its not funny, or how it didn’t happen that way? who cares if its removable, its funnier if you don’t think about it
AmbyrJayde
Why couldn’t YOU just enjoy the picture on its own?
yeah. I’m sure that someone else has pointed this out already but I haven’t bothered to read over all the comments. Funny as this is at first glance, the truth of it is that any one or all of those posts (depending on the design) unlocks and either lifts up or retracts into the sidewalk itself. But on the upstroke… everyone that WAS originally laughing at how stupid those workers were can now find new humour in laughing at how stupid people are for looking at this picture and not realizing what’s actually going on. So by extension, it’s still funny.
C’mon guys it’s a picture!!! and why if someone leaves a comment about a simple misunderstanding, do mindless twits have to assume someones gay? anyway, it’s a picture, if it was taken in the UK they MUST have to be able to be laid flat on the ground, to allow for road works and things like that….. and besides that what happened to our imaginations? WOO for ‘Thedealer07′ for not killing their imagination! and goodbye, for now i will go bang my head against a wall for contributing to this petty argument about something so simple………
Just think. You read through all that crap (or just scrolled to the bottom). Did you enjoy the picture? Did you enjoy the show?
oh wow, 61 posts…. Was this picture really worthy of a debate? Oh well, i offer this useless 62nd post. I can’t help myself, if people are jumping off a building… I feel compelled to do so as well
baaaaaa-aaaaaa-aaaaaa
63!!!
64.. Wonder how long until someone posts a 65th or will I be the last to post here and no one ever see this section again….. EVER.
i cant understand this pic…damn…
*tsk* *tsk* *tsk* Seems we have ANOTHER case, where the comments about a picture draw more attention than the pic itself. Yes we’ve seen the picture before, and it’s not to say it isn’t funny. I just feel sorry for those who decided to argue and cause more senseless internet drama in a comment section.
So in conclusion before you retards fall asleep (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE). The pic was funny and you retards creating internet drama should just go to the corals we put you in and stay there…
PS. 66th comment ^_^
